Why is my computer crashing and experiencing screen tearing?

I recently started having issues with my computer after getting it. Initially, I noticed some screen tearing whenever I tried to watch videos, where I had to click away from the app and back on it just to get it to display properly. It was a minor inconvenience, so I let it slide. However, things have escalated, and now my computer is crashing randomly, particularly when I minimize a video. As soon as I try to exit fullscreen, the computer restarts. I'm using a Radeon RX 6800 graphics card, a Ryzen 7 9700X 8 CPU, and I have 32 GB of RAM. My GPU drivers are all up to date. Any insights or resources to help me address these issues would be great!

It sounds like your GPU might be on its way out since it's around 5+ years old now. However, if you haven't overclocked it and it still runs high-end games like Helldivers without a hitch, there could be some other factors at play. Sometimes, background applications like Discord or even browser tabs can cause conflicts that lead to screen tearing and crashes. You might want to check for any software updates or settings in those applications that could be causing the issue.

Yeah, I experienced similar issues before—turning off hardware acceleration in apps like Discord really helped with the screen tearing. Might be worth a try!
