I just received my new PC and it's running great, but I'm facing a little issue with my RAM. I ordered Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz (2x16GB), yet it appears as 5600 MT/s in Windows. I'm using an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D CPU and a GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 motherboard. I enabled the EXPO setting in BIOS, but it still only shows the lower speed. I noticed I can adjust the Memory Multiplier from 56 to 60 in BIOS, but I'm hesitant to change it—could this potentially damage my RAM? I thought the EXPO setting would automatically configure the right speed for me.

I had a similar situation with my G.Skill FlareX RAM a while back. It ran at only 4800 MT/s. After some digging, I found a workaround, but I'm wary of updating the BIOS because I fear I'll lose my settings again! Just double-check what BIOS version you've got—it could help.
You should be fine adjusting the multiplier! The worst that might happen is it won't boot, and you'd just have to reset the CMOS. Make sure to check for any additional EXPO settings too—sometimes, the wrong kit might've been sent, which could explain the lower speed.
Are you sure you only have one EXPO option? I have Corsair RAM and I've seen two settings for mine, one at 5600 and another at 6000. Might be worth checking!
I took another look, and it seems I only have "EXPO 1" and "XMP 1." Might need to play around more!

Thanks! I finally adjusted the multiplier to 60, and now it correctly shows up as 6000 MT/s!
