I've noticed that in Battlefield 6, my CPU FPS tends to be 10-25 frames lower than my GPU FPS when playing on 1440p with Ultra settings. My system specs include a Ryzen 5 7600X3D and an RX 9070XT Hellhound GPU. Typically, my GPU utilization is around 95%, while the CPU is at 85%, with both hovering around a 90% utilization during intense gameplay. Do I have a CPU bottleneck because of fewer cores, or is there something else going on?

I just ordered the same CPU and GPU, how's your experience with it so far?
I have a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and a 3090, and I see the same thing. Even at 4K, the CPU often holds back the GPU. It's not necessarily a matter of having fewer cores; BF6 just demands a lot from the CPU in general.
Update: I was tweaking my settings and noticed they were still set to Custom. Resetting them to Balanced helped; my CPU usage dropped to around 75-80%, and the gap between CPU and GPU FPS is now around 5-10 FPS. Seems like my automatic settings might have changed since launch.
If your CPU FPS is showing lower numbers, that's likely your actual FPS. Frame times play a role too, which you can check alongside FPS stats. There are definitely settings in BF6 that are more CPU-intensive. Try lowering those settings; they usually don't affect visual quality much. Keep the mesh quality high for better visuals without a huge FPS cost, but lower those settings that say they use a lot of CPU power.
BF6 is pretty CPU-heavy, so what you're experiencing is pretty normal. If you're looking to boost your overall performance, there are some config file tweaks you can try to improve CPU performance without sacrificing too much visual quality.
Honestly, it's just a slight CPU limitation. You might not need to worry too much about core count. Just disable those FPS counters and enjoy the game; your setup is better than what most players have!

I really like it! I built my rig last January, and it handles any game I throw at it with 120+ FPS on max settings. I just thought it was worth discussing the performance in BF6.
