Why is my CPU maxed out while my GPU is barely being used during gaming?

I recently upgraded my PC and I've been experiencing some lag in games. Upon checking, I found that my CPU is running at almost 100%, while my GPU is only at 30%. It feels like it should be the other way around, right? I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing or if I might be wrong about the bottlenecking situation. Can anyone help me figure this out?

First off, can you share your specs? It's hard to diagnose without knowing what hardware you're working with. Also, what resolution are you gaming at and what's your graphics settings like?

Yeah, I'd agree with GamingGuru87. Knowing your specs is key. From what you said, you have a Ryzen 5 5600x and an RTX 5060 with a 1920x1080 monitor running on high or ultra settings. That should be fine generally, but try lowering your settings a bit and see if that helps with the CPU load.
