I recently replaced my AIO cooler with a new NZXT Kraken X72 after the previous pump failed. However, as soon as I power on my PC, the CPU temperature rises rapidly—about 1°C every 2 seconds—until the system shuts down to prevent damage. In the BIOS, I see the AIO pump running at around 3000 RPM. I've reinstalled the cooler multiple times thinking it might be a bad installation, but the issue persists. My specs include an ASUS PRIMEX 570-P motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, Asus GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, and Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB RAM. For reference, I bought the new pump used, and I'm wondering what could be causing this overheating issue.

Check if you refreshed the thermal paste and ensured the cooler is mounted correctly with all necessary standoffs. Also, confirm you removed any protective plastic film from the cooler base. It sounds basic, but it’s easy to miss these steps!
I actually bought the pump used, so it didn’t come with any plastic film. I’ve definitely applied thermal paste and checked the standoffs from the AMD bag.
