I'm tackling my first PC upgrade and have run into some trouble. I've swapped out my old motherboard for an ASUS Z790 Pro WIFI because some connectors were damaged on the previous one. I've upgraded my CPU to an Intel I9-14900K from an I9-12900K, added a new SSD, and installed a Kraken 280 RGB cooler. My existing parts include an Asus RTX 4080 Super and 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and I've also got a new NZXT H5 Flow RGB case. I'm using a Thermalright 850-watt gold PSU. After putting everything together, I noticed that the red CPU light is on. Is this a problem? I don't have a monitor connected yet, so I can't check if anything is happening on screen. I thought it might be related to a BIOS update, but even after re-installing my old 12th-gen Intel chip, the light is still red. What should I do next?

Make sure to re-seat the CPU and also clear the CMOS. I had a similar issue with my ASUS Z390 board after a power outage, and reseating everything worked for me!
Try hooking your setup up to a TV and see if it gets a signal there. You might get something on the screen!
I feel silly for not thinking of that! I'm doing it now, but the TV is still showing no signal.
I took out the round battery to reset it and put it back in after a few minutes, but the red CPU light is still on. I’ve also replaced the Intel chip again, but no luck.
