I recently built a new PC, but I'm concerned because my CPU is showing a temperature of 95°C and I haven't even booted into Windows yet. I've got an RPM reading from the CPU fan header where my pump is connected, and the radiator fans are spinning. Previously, I accidentally applied too much thermal paste since I didn't realize the AIO cooler had some pre-applied. I cleaned off all the paste from both the cooler and the CPU, then reapplied. However, I noticed the radiator fans weren't working when I connected them to the PWM fan splitter that came with the AIO, so they're now hooked up to an NZXT fan and RGB controller that came with the case. I also haven't updated the BIOS yet; it's still at the factory version, and I'm hesitant to flash it with the CPU running so hot. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Did you remember to remove the sticker from the bottom of the CPU block? That can definitely cause overheating issues. If it's still on there, take it off and see if that helps!
What model CPU and cooler are you using? And is that 95°C reading happening when the system is idle or under load? If it's idling at that temperature, something is definitely not right. Make sure your AIO pump is running close to 100%, there's no plastic on the AIO water block, and it’s mounted securely on the CPU.
I think you might need to provide more details about your build, like what parts you’re using. But from what it sounds like, 95°C in the BIOS is usually a sign that there's a problem with how the cooler is mounted. It could be that the protective sticker is still on the cooler or that the pump isn't functioning properly.
You might be facing a mounting issue with the AIO cooler. Check if the brackets or plate are aligned correctly. If the pump isn’t working right, that could definitely cause high temperatures too.

Yeah, I checked, and there was no plastic left on the block. The pump seems to be working, but I’ll double-check everything just in case.
