Hey everyone! I've been using a pre-built PC for a few years now, but lately, it's been super sluggish. I ran some diagnostics and found out that my CPU temperature is way too high—around 207°F when idle! I've already cleaned out the dust and applied new thermal paste, which did help a little, but the temperature is still hovering between 180°F and 190°F. Am I missing something? What else can I do to fix this?

It sounds like you’re doing the right things by cleaning your PC and replacing the thermal paste. But those temps are still quite high! Make sure your CPU cooler is properly seated and that there’s good airflow in your case. It might also be worth checking if the cooler is compatible with your CPU. In some cases, upgrading to a better cooler can really help.
I’d also suggest looking at your case’s airflow. If the intake and exhaust fans are not positioned optimally, it could lead to trapped heat. You might consider adding additional fans or even relocating your case to a cooler area.
Yeah, also check if the fans in your case are working properly! Sometimes a simple fan issue can cause overheating.
