Why is my CPU staying so hot under minimal load?

I've built a new PC recently with components purchased just 4-5 months ago. My setup includes an i9-14900KF CPU and an Alphacool Eisbear 360 AIO cooler with Arctic P12 PRO PST fans. However, I'm experiencing high temperatures ranging from 80-100 degrees Celsius even when the CPU is under very minimal load (around 5-10%). I thought my setup would keep cooler than this, especially since I'm new to AIO coolers and have heard that the i9-14900KF tends to run hot. I recently replaced one of the AIO fans that died, but now the system appears to be running even hotter, and although the air blowing out of the fans feels cool, I expected it to be at least warm if everything is working properly. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Since your AIO fans are blowing out cool air, it might be worth inspecting the pump and radiator. If they are not working correctly, that could cause poor cooling performance. Also, check your BIOS settings for fan speeds and CPU voltage; adjusting those might help lower temps.

Agreed! Make sure your BIOS settings are optimized for the cooler. Sometimes, those settings default to higher voltages.

First, make sure you removed the plastic cover from the AIO's contact frame when you installed it. If that’s good to go, check the thermal paste application. If those are fine, I'd look into your CPU's voltage settings. Using PBO2 tuner to undervolt a bit might help with those temperatures.

Yeah, definitely check on those. Proper thermal paste application is key, and undervolting can make a big difference too.
