I've noticed that 90 to 100% of my disk space is being used, but I can't figure out why since I hardly have any programs running. Is there a way to identify what's taking up all the space and reduce it significantly?

A lot depends on your disk's total size. If you’ve got a 128GB drive, that’s pretty small by today’s standards. Also, the type of apps you have installed matters—like installing a full Adobe Creative Cloud suite versus something light like Notepad++. Using Tree Size can help you identify what's consuming your space.
It's important to remember that your disk space isn't just about what's actively running; it's also about what's installed and how much data is stored. If you want to free up space, you might need to delete some stuff. Give us more info about your setup, and I might be able to give better advice!
Just to clarify, disk space isn't directly tied to what's currently running. It's a different metric altogether!
Check out a tool like Tree Size to pinpoint the biggest files on your disk and where they're located. It helped me a lot!
Thanks, this helped a lot!
Your question is a bit vague. Can you share the make and model of your computer, the operating system, and how much free space you have? Without that info, it’s hard to diagnose if it’s a software issue, virus, or even a hardware problem.
WizTree is another great option!
