I'm experiencing really slow download and update speeds for my games, often taking over 24 hours, and sometimes they don't even update at all. I've run some internet speed tests that didn't show anything unusual, and I make sure to clear my download caches and check my download regions. I'm not very tech-savvy and I've had all my hardware since 2019, and I can't afford to upgrade anything right now. I'm just frustrated because all I want is to update my games and play. Sorry if I'm breaking any forum rules; I'm new to this!

If you've done speed tests and nothing seems out of the ordinary, I'd still need to know what those numbers are. Just because they look fine to you doesn't mean they are. Considering your hardware is from 2019, your rig might be limited to 100mbps speeds. Also, what kind of ethernet cable are you using?
Have you checked your actual download and upload speeds? Sometimes resetting your drivers can help. In my experience, when I hit a wall with speed issues, doing a fresh install of my OS often brings everything back to normal. It's worth a shot!
Thanks for the tip! I definitely need to figure out my speeds. I'm not sure how to reset drivers, though. Can you help me with that?
It sounds like you might have storage issues. Even if your internet speed is fine, if your hard drive is old or failing, it can slow everything down significantly. It might be worth checking your hard drive health.

I use a standard CAT 5 cable, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
