Hey everyone, I've got gigabit internet, but my PC is only getting really slow speeds through Ethernet—like super low, around 2-7 Mbps while my other devices on Wi-Fi are fine. I'm on Windows 10 with an MSI B550 motherboard. I've tried different Ethernet cables and ports, so it can't be that. Even using a new cable that supports gigabit speeds didn't help. I checked a different port in another room but got similar results, and I've updated all my Ethernet drivers. Any suggestions would be super appreciated!

It might be worth checking how your LAN setup is arranged. Try connecting your PC directly to the modem/router to see if that improves speeds. I have a similar setup where I connect through multiple devices, but if there's an issue, connecting directly helps rule out router problems.
Have you noticed if this slow speed has just started recently? Also, can you test other Ethernet devices to see if it's just your PC acting up? A quick way to check is using your laptop or any other device with Ethernet to see if they get the normal speed. It might help pinpoint the problem.
If you’re using an MSI motherboard, consider disabling the LAN manager optimization feature in MSI's software. Sometimes it can mess with your speeds, especially if it thinks you're gaming and tries to throttle the connection. You might not even have that software installed, but it's worth a look!
