Why is my FPS so low after upgrading to a 5070 Ti?

I recently upgraded my GPU from a 2070 Ti to a 5070 Ti. After installing the new card and updating the drivers, I noticed a significant drop in my FPS, now sitting at around 20 to 30 FPS. No matter how I adjust the graphic settings in my games, the FPS remains stuck. I initially suspected a CPU bottleneck, but when I used a bottleneck calculator, it indicated I should be getting close to 100 FPS. I've already tried using DDU to uninstall drivers, resetting my PC, tweaking various settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel, and even updating the BIOS, but nothing seems to help. I'm at a loss here—can anyone assist?

First off, check your CPU and GPU utilization while gaming. That can give you some insight into whether there's a bottleneck. It's important to know what CPU you're running. If you're using a Ryzen 7 2700, that's decent, but what's your utilization like? It sounds like your GPU might not be working hard enough if it's only at 10% while you're seeing such low FPS. Maybe there's a setting or tweak that hasn't been applied correctly yet.

Yeah, it’s definitely worth checking the utilization. I had a similar issue once, and it turned out to be a power setting in Windows that was limiting performance. Make sure you're on the 'High Performance' plan.
