Why is my gaming performance so poor with my current setup?

I've got a Core i5 12th gen processor, a 500GB SSD, and 24GB of RAM, but I'm struggling to get decent gaming performance. Specifically, I'm playing games like GTA V Legacy Edition and getting only 20-30 FPS even on the most basic graphics settings. I know that I'm using Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, which isn't great for gaming, but I'm wondering if there's something else wrong with my setup since my specs don't seem that bad overall. Any advice?

You're running integrated graphics, which are generally not meant for gaming. Also, having 24GB of RAM could be an issue if those sticks are mismatched; it's better to have pairs of RAM that match for optimal performance. The Intel Iris Xe can be significantly slower than even entry-level dedicated GPUs like the GTX 1650, which could explain the low frame rates.

Yeah, I've got mismatched sticks and I'm aware the GPU isn't ideal. But still, I didn't expect it to handle GTA that poorly.
