Why is My GPU Fan Speed Going Crazy?

I'm using a desktop PC with Windows 11, featuring an i9 12th Gen processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and several terabytes of storage, plus a ZotacGaming RTX 3090. I've even changed the thermal paste, but I'm facing a frustrating issue: the fans on my GPU go from completely quiet to max speed whenever I use my PC. I've tried various solutions, including adjusting the fan curve and settings to keep the fans spinning consistently, but nothing seems to work. I'm really at a loss here!

If your GPU fans are still ramping up even when nothing is open, it might be worth checking if there's any software or driver updates needed. Sometimes, outdated drivers can lead to odd behavior.

Have you checked the task manager to see how much load your GPU is taking on when this happens? Sometimes high loads from background processes can ramp up the fan speed unexpectedly.
