Why is my GPU hitting 100°C while gaming?

I recently built my first PC using a Radeon 6800 XT, and everything was working perfectly until I started playing more demanding games like Doom Eternal. I noticed the GPU temperatures spiked to 100°C, causing the game to crash. I've tested this multiple times, and it seems to happen consistently across all games. Is there a solution to this overheating issue, or am I completely out of luck?

Have you checked if you're using any kind of fan control? Sometimes the default settings aren't aggressive enough for high-performance gaming. You might want to adjust your fan speed for better cooling.

I’m just using the default fan settings in Adrenalin, but I set the tuning to 'rage' mode. Should I try something different?
