Why is my GPU showing a red light after upgrading my PC?

I recently upgraded my PC with an Asus RTX 5070 GPU and an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, along with an Asus TUF Gaming Plus WiFi X870 motherboard. After assembling everything, I powered it on, but the GPU shows a red light. I'm puzzled because I thought that my 850-watt gold power supply would be sufficient. Can anyone help me figure out what might be wrong?

It sounds like either the GPU isn't seated right or there might be a connection issue. Just in case, verify that everything is connected properly.

It's interesting to hear your conclusion, but there's a lot that could affect this. The red light is a warning, but check if there are any additional indicators next to it that may specify the issue.

You should be good with 850 watts. Just make sure you’re using two separate PCIe cables for the GPU instead of one combined cable, as that can sometimes cause issues.

850 watts should definitely be enough for your setup. The red light typically means that the cables to the GPU aren’t connected properly. Double-check that everything is securely plugged in and that the GPU is properly seated in the PCIe slot.
