Why Is My GPU Usage So Low in FC26 and Apex Legends?

I've been experiencing low GPU usage while playing FC26 and Apex Legends. My specs are as follows: Asus Prime 690Z D4 motherboard, an Intel i9 14900k CPU, and an RTX 4070Ti Super GPU. I also have 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM (8x4). In FC26, my GPU usage hovers around 60-70%, while it spikes to 99% in the menu. For Apex, it shows about 30-50% usage. Interestingly, I noticed that increasing some in-game settings in Apex actually improves my FPS, which seems counterintuitive. My CPU usage remains at around 30% in both games, and I'm puzzled as to why I'm not utilizing my GPU to its full potential. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your CPU might be bottlenecking the performance for some reason. The i9 14900k should handle that GPU just fine. You might want to check your CPU temperature and clock frequency while gaming. What cooling solution are you using? Also, make sure your motherboard's BIOS is up to date and that XMP is enabled for your RAM.

My CPU temp hits around 86 degrees during stress tests, and it sits at about 75 while gaming, with occasional jumps to 84 after a few hours. XMP II is enabled, and my CPU frequency is about 4.82 GHz.
