Hey everyone! I have an i7-14700k CPU and a GeForce RTX 3080 VISION OC 10G GPU with an ASUS Strix B660-A motherboard. I'm using HyperX 3200MHz DDR4 RAM (16GB x 2) and a Cooler Master V850 Gold V2 PSU. I generally play games at 2K resolution and 144Hz, but I've noticed that my frame rates are significantly lower than other systems with similar specs. For instance, in Path of Exile 2, I'm only hitting around 60 FPS on average, with some drops below that. I checked GPU-Z and saw that my GPU's power consumption seems to be capped under 300W when it should be able to push up to 370W. I've even re-plugged the PCI-E connections, but that didn't help. Can anyone share some insights?

Have you tried running a stress test like FurMark to see if it pushes your power usage higher? 300W while gaming is pretty normal for a 3080, but it could help diagnose what's going on. Also, check if your GPU has a silent/OC switch you can toggle for better performance.
Comparing FPS in a game like POE2 can be tricky since it’s constantly being patched and has variations in maps and characters. Still, it’s a good idea to ensure your GPU is powered by two separate PCI-E cables, not just plugs, and check that your RAM is running in dual channel mode at 3200MT/s with XMP enabled. Keep an eye on temps and clocks using HWInfo64 too!
I’ve got the dual cables set up and all the other settings checked. Appreciate your help!
Make sure you're connecting individual power cables to each slot on your GPU rather than using daisy chains. Using daisy chains can limit power delivery and affect performance. It's worth a shot!
I’m currently using daisy chains, so I’ll switch to separate cables. Thanks for the tip!
I haven't checked for an OC switch yet, but I will! Thanks for the suggestion.
