Why is my GTX 1660 Super performing worse than my integrated graphics?

Hey folks! I recently upgraded to a GTX 1660 Super to improve my gaming experience, replacing the integrated graphics from my Ryzen 5600G. I made sure to disable the integrated GPU to prioritize performance, but I'm really disappointed because the performance is actually worse. I've tried everything—cleaning my drivers and installing the latest Nvidia ones—but nothing seems to work. Any advice on what I might be missing?

Have you tried adjusting settings in Windows? Go to Settings > Gaming Graphics and find the game you’re having trouble with. Switch it from "let Windows decide" to "High Performance" for the dedicated GPU. It might make a difference!

Is your power supply strong enough for the GPU? Check you're using the correct drivers and that the GPU is running at PCIe 3.0 x16. Also, keep an eye on the temps. Older cards sometimes need maintenance like repasting to run well.

Just checking—did you ensure the GTX 1660 Super is properly seated in the right PCI slot? Sometimes little things can mess up performance. If you’re also using an NVMe expansion card, it might be affecting bandwidth.

First, make sure your monitor is connected to the GPU. If it’s not, that could be a big issue. Also, how's the overall performance? Are you seeing any stuttering or frame drops? If it’s just ultra-low FPS, we need to dig deeper into your setup!

Could you share your full build? It would really help diagnose the issue. Also, check your Task Manager to see the utilization rates of your CPU and GPU when gaming. This could give clues about whether something's bottlenecking your system.
