I'm new to Linux and I'm having trouble with my hard drive. It only appears in Disk Manager, and I don't really understand how formatting works. I need some guidance on how to get it to show up properly. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Make sure to check what filesystem your drive is using. This can affect visibility. If you want to dive deeper into managing filesystems and permissions, there are some great resources available that can help you get familiar with the basics of Linux. This foundational knowledge can go a long way!

For the drive to appear beyond Disk Manager, it needs to have a partition table, a filesystem, be formatted, and be mounted. Without these steps, it won't show up elsewhere. Is this a new or existing disk? If you can, provide a screenshot from Disk Manager and mention your Linux distribution. The steps can vary depending on whether you're using Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, or something else; detailed info will really help us help you!
