Why is my I5-13600KF overheating?

Hey everyone! I've been using my PC for about three years, and it was running great until recently. Now, my CPU temperature spikes to 100°C when I'm gaming, and even when just browsing the web, it sometimes hits that high. I hadn't checked my temps for a while, so I'm not sure if it started overheating before.

I have an MSI MAG Coreliquid 240R V2 AIO cooler in an ITX A4-H2O case, which shouldn't create such a significant problem.

Here's what I've noticed:
- At boot, the CPU is already around 50-60°C and creeps up to 70°C. If I start a game, it reaches 100°C almost immediately.
- Even minimal activity in a browser can push the temps to 100°C, although it sometimes drops to 75-90°C when just watching a video.
- CPU utilization is low during idle times.
- The pump is running at about 4000 RPM, and the fans are operating normally.
- I hear a pulsing sound from the AIO that feels like it's vibrating quickly.
- One of the tubes from the AIO is hot, while the other is only warm after being on for a long time.

I'm thinking it might be the thermal paste or maybe the AIO itself, but since it seems to be functioning with normal RPMs and sounds, I'm not sure. Any insights on what could be wrong?

It sounds like your AIO might be having issues. Try giving it a gentle tap; sometimes, that can get the pump working again if it’s stuck. Also, double-check that the cooler is properly mounted; even a tiny gap can lead to serious overheating. Hitting 100°C is definitely not normal, so if it continues to do this, you're likely going to need a new cooler.

So, do you suggest tapping the CPU block or the radiator or both?
