I've got an i9 14900K paired with an H100I Elite Cooler, and I'm noticing it gets pretty hot. During normal use on Windows 11, I'm seeing idle temperatures around 37-40°C, but when I play Helldivers 2 on max settings, it averages about 90°C at 144 fps. Some forums say my cooler might not be robust enough for this CPU, and I'm wondering if 90°C is acceptable or if I'm worrying too much. Any thoughts?

With the i9 14900K being one of Intel's hottest chips, your 240mm cooler might not be cutting it. While 37-40°C at idle is normal, hitting 90°C is definitely on the higher side. Intel CPUs can handle temperatures up to 100°C, so you're safe for now, but a bigger cooler could help you keep those temps down during intense gaming.
True! The 360mm coolers tend to perform better. They’re quieter under load too. If you’re only running light tasks, the AIO might not ramp up the fans much, but once you push it, having a larger radiator makes a big difference.
