I recently installed a new NVMe M.2 SSD and did a fresh installation of Windows 11 Home. Now, my internet speed is capped at 100 Mbps, while I should be getting up to 500 Mbps. I tested another computer connected to the same router and it achieves the full speeds. I've been using speedtest.net to check my connection.
Everything was running smoothly before the upgrade. I've tried replacing my Ethernet cables with new Cat6 ones, updated all drivers (AMD chipset, Realtek, LAN, GPU), and adjusted the speed and duplex settings to auto and 1 Gbps, but nothing seems to help. It was working perfectly fine prior to the SSD switch and fresh Windows install.
According to my network settings, the speed is now limited to 100/100 instead of the 1 Gbps I had before. I really don't know what's causing this issue and would appreciate any help!

- Booting from an Ubuntu USB might help diagnose the problem; if it works there, it’s likely a driver issue in Windows.
Where did you download the drivers from? Make sure you’re getting them from official sources—sometimes outdated or incorrect drivers can cause issues.
It sounds like you’ve checked the cables, but have you also looked into your LAN ports or any intermediary devices like switches? Sometimes the physical layer can cause these kinds of issues. If you have a dedicated NIC, make sure it’s firmly seated in its slot; a slight misalignment can affect performance.
