I've been paying for a 200/200 internet plan, but I'm only getting about 155 on Wi-Fi. The strange part is that my ethernet connection used to be around 229, but for the last three days, it's dropped down to 90/90. I noticed a bit of damage to my ethernet cable—like 1 cm of the outer skin is gone, though the internal wiring seems fine. Could this damage be the reason for the poor connection, or might there be something else going on?

Definitely consider swapping out that cable. Sometimes, even when the internal wiring looks okay, damage to the outer coating can affect performance. Make sure there’s no other issue with your router or modem as well.
It sounds like your cable could definitely be a factor. Even a small amount of damage can cause significant signal loss. If it looks like it's been chewed or damaged in any way, that might explain the drop in speed. I’d suggest replacing it to see if that fixes things.
