I've noticed a weird issue on my Windows device where instead of the normal Wi-Fi symbol in the corner, there's an icon that usually indicates an ethernet connection, even though I'm not using one. When I go to my settings, it appears that all my Wi-Fi settings are missing. However, when I tap on the symbol in the corner, it shows one of my internet connections, which is really slow and is the one I usually connect to. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

It sounds like your computer might not be recognizing your Wi-Fi correctly. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix these weird icon issues. Give that a try first if you haven't. If the problem continues, you might want to check your network adapter settings to make sure everything's set up right.
That could be a sign that your VPN is active. If you have a VPN running, it might change the icon to look like an ethernet connection. Check your VPN settings and see if disabling it makes the Wi-Fi icon return.
Are you using any wireless dongles or adapters? Sometimes they can mess with your settings. If that's the case, it might be good to unplug and then replug them back in.
I've seen this happen sometimes if there's a conflict with network drivers. You could try updating your network adapter drivers through Device Manager. It’s worth a shot!
