I've been having a frustrating issue with my iPhone 16 Pro. Recently, it started charging at work, but I noticed the battery percentage was dropping despite showing the charging symbol. I thought it might be a problem with my work charger, so I took it home and plugged it into my regular Apple USB-C charger, but nothing happened—it was completely black with no low battery indicators. After rushing to the Apple Store, they couldn't find any issues with the phone and suggested a battery replacement for a hefty $599 since my warranty expired just three days ago. I take great care of my phone, and it's only a year old! So, I found a wireless charger that worked, but now my phone only charges this way. What could be wrong with my phone? Is it the battery or the charging port? Any advice or insights would be much appreciated!

I've used Apple products for years, and they've usually been understanding with warranty issues, even very close to the expiration. There might be more to this than just the warranty expiration—it sounds like something deeper is going on.
If your warranty ended so recently and you haven't gotten any third-party repairs, I recommend calling Apple Support and asking to speak with a senior advisor. They might help you get a better resolution. Clearly, something is wrong with the charging port, and without that, you might need to consider a repair.
I'm definitely going to call today for further assistance!
It sounds like your charging port could be either blocked or malfunctioning. When you took it to the store, did they test the charging port? Sometimes, even if it looks clean, there could still be debris affecting the connection.
They said it was spotless, yet it still showed ‘charging’ but didn't actually charge. It's such a puzzling situation!

I think I might have caught them right before closing time, so that could be why. Timing can really affect the service you get.
