I'm about to get an i9 14th gen in a couple of days, but I'm curious if it's worth buying used, or if these chips have undergone any physical changes since their initial release. Did Intel change anything about the design or manufacturing?

It's just been software tweaks with no actual hardware changes. Just keep an eye on the voltages to avoid issues.
Yup, no physical changes to the chips, but you'll definitely want to update the BIOS before using them. Older BIOS versions were pushing way too much voltage to the CPU, which isn't safe!
Yeah, they didn't change anything physically. Just some software updates were implemented to limit the voltage, which might reduce risk of overheating, but it's more of a band-aid solution.
I’d recommend not going for a used one unless you really trust the seller. You can’t tell how it was used before. There were some issues with internal corrosion in a small batch made in Arizona, but other than that, nothing major. Just keep your BIOS updated to prevent voltage problems.
The 14th gen chips are pretty much the same as they were at launch. There was a small batch that had some corrosion issues, but those have likely been taken care of by now. So if you’re looking at a used one, you should be good, depending on the owner’s use.

Exactly, it's still the same chip. Just be cautious!
