Hey everyone! This morning, my iPhone was super hot even though it was fully charged at 100%. It only cooled down when I turned it off and left it alone. Later in the day, I noticed it was still hot but the battery had dropped drastically to 5%! I didn't even use the phone much until then, and there were no apps running that could cause this. The battery drains incredibly fast — it goes from 20% to 17% in just a minute. It's even losing charge when it's powered off. Any ideas on what might be going on? I've tried clearing some data, but I can't get to a store anytime soon for help.

The overheating might not be just battery related. It could be due to software issues or a problem with the motherboard. You might want to explore those options too.
Check your phone's battery health by going to Settings > Battery > Health and Charging. If it's under 80%, it’s time for a replacement. If you have AppleCare+, the replacement should be covered for free!
Thanks for the tip! My battery health shows as 88%. Should I still be worried?
