I've been experiencing some serious battery drain on my Dell Inspiron 14 5410, which is about 4 years old. It's been great overall, but lately, the battery life has really taken a nosedive. Even in battery saver mode, it goes from around 30% to 18% in just 20 minutes while I'm just using Chrome. I've tried everything, including power saving settings and dark mode, but the battery still drains too quickly. I'm worried that my battery might be failing. Is there anything I can do to improve this before considering a replacement?

Batteries naturally degrade over time, and unfortunately, there's not much you can do to improve their lifespan at this point. It sounds like you might just need to replace it. It’s a common issue with older laptops like yours.
Four years is actually a pretty typical lifespan for a laptop battery. If it's been draining that fast, you're likely looking at needing a new battery. Just make sure to go for an OEM or a high-quality replacement to ensure it lasts. And when you’re gaming, it's best to keep the laptop plugged in and set it to high performance instead of power save mode for better battery efficiency.

Got it! I didn't realize that. I’ll pick up a new battery soon. Thanks!
