Why is my laptop saying the battery isn’t charging when it’s actually full?

I'm facing a frustrating issue with my Asus TUF Gaming FX505GT where Windows keeps showing a warning that says, "your battery is not charged. Please plug in your charger to charge your laptop." Even though my battery is actually full and I have it plugged in. Is there a way to resolve this? Is it possibly a bug?

It would be helpful to know a bit more about your laptop, like its specifications. How old is it? Did you buy it new or refurbished? If it’s refurbished, you might have a generic battery that doesn’t communicate properly with the system, causing these issues.

It's the TUF Gaming FX505GT, just to clarify. Thanks for the tip!

This kind of issue can be pretty common, especially with certain brands. In the past, I've seen it particularly on Lenovo laptops, and many users have found that updating their drivers and firmware helps fix the problem. You should check the Asus support site to see if there are any updates for your model!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely check for driver updates.
