I'm having major issues with my laptop when it comes to gaming. No matter how low I set the graphics, every game I try lag so much that they're basically unplayable. My specs are an Acer Nitro 5 with an i7 9750H, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 1650 with 4GB of VRAM. Any ideas on what's going wrong here?

Games today are often made for GPUs with more VRAM than your 4GB GTX 1650 can provide. Even on low settings, they can lag. If you're set on gaming, stick to less demanding games to avoid frustration.
Your laptop's GPU might be underpowered for modern games. The GTX 1650 is just not cutting it anymore, especially for new titles. If you're serious about gaming, it might be time to consider upgrading to a better laptop or even building a PC if you can swing it.
I recently faced similar issues, and it turned out my laptop was overheating. Consider checking if your thermal paste needs replacing; you might see improved performance!
I've played some competitive titles on a GTX 970 with similar VRAM, and they run fine for me. It's all about finding the right games!
