I'm having an annoying issue with my Asus Tuf gaming laptop where the internet/Wi-Fi icon has been replaced by a grayed-out flight mode option, and I can't seem to turn it off. The flight mode is definitely turned off, but it still shows I'm on flight mode. I've tried all sorts of fixes, including command prompt commands, and while they work temporarily, the problem keeps coming back. What could be causing this, and how do I fix it without resorting to a tech shop?

This sounds frustrating! Sometimes a recent Windows update can mess with settings like this. If you’ve updated your laptop recently, it might have changed something in the BIOS settings. Check your BIOS for any options related to airplane mode or Wi-Fi—it could have been toggled automatically. If you're unsure how to get into BIOS, let me know and I can help with that!
You might also want to try using the Fn key combos, like Fn+F5 or Fn+F7, which can toggle the flight mode or Wi-Fi. Sometimes it's something simple like that! If there's a physical switch on your laptop for wireless, make sure it's in the 'on' position.
This worked for me! I forgot I had a physical switch and it was off.

Definitely check BIOS! I had a similar issue that was fixed by toggling a setting in there.
