I recently updated the drivers on my ASUS laptop running Windows 11, and now the sound driver seems to be damaged or completely missing. While my Bluetooth earphones are still working without any issues, the Realtek speakers on the laptop can't output sound and don't even appear in the driver list. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Try going to Device Manager and disabling the audio driver first. After that, uninstall it and make sure to check the option to remove driver files from the computer if it prompts you to. Then, restart your laptop and see if it makes a difference.
You might want to scan for new hardware changes in Device Manager. If lucky, your system could detect the missing driver and reinstall it. If that doesn’t work, check online for any Realtek audio drivers that you can manually install to match your hardware.
