I own an M3 MacBook Air running macOS Sequoia, and I've been facing a frustrating issue. Despite my efforts to free up space in the past, it seems like my laptop just keeps re-filling the storage with System Data whenever I delete files. I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this and what I can do to resolve it for good.

I had a similar issue, and it turned out that over 150GB of space was being consumed by Spotlight Search. I managed to clear it without any problems. You might want to look at optimizing that too!
It sounds like something might be wrong with your storage management. Have you checked if you have iCloud syncing enabled? That could cause extra data to pile up.

No, I don't have iCloud syncing on.
