Why is my monitor showing a green tint and how can I fix it?

I'm having a problem with my Viotek monitor where the colors are all showing a greenish tint that I can't seem to fix. I've got another monitor (a Dell) that displays colors perfectly, so I don't think it's a Windows setting issue, even though I've tried adjusting those anyway. I've also checked the monitor settings using the buttons at the bottom, but all I can change is between game, sport, and normal modes. Any advice on how to resolve this issue?

Changing the refresh rate could also help. Try adjusting that first! And don’t forget to check the monitor’s settings for color recalibration. Sometimes just a little tweak can make a big difference.

I had a similar green shade problem before. I managed to fix it by toggling HDR off and then back on, especially after updating my drivers. If you have a spare cable, it might be worth testing that too.

I once managed to fix a similar issue for someone I support internally. It turned out their graphics card had a driver issue, causing colors to be inconsistent on just that monitor, even when it looked fine on others. So, updating graphics drivers might be worth a shot!

It sounds like a cable issue to me. Have you tried swapping out the HDMI or DisplayPort cable? Sometimes there can be internal damage to the cable that causes color problems.

This could be a sign that the monitor is starting to fail. If a new cable doesn’t help, it’s possible the monitor itself might be dying, particularly if there's damage to the data control for the red channel.
