I recently bought a WD_BLACK SN850X 2000GB SSD, but it's only being recognized as 931 GB on my system. I've done quite a bit of troubleshooting, including checking partition types and cleaning the drive, but nothing seems to work. The drive's packaging clearly states 2TB, and I've even submitted a ticket to Sandisk hoping for some help. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows what else I can do?

If you're still within the return window, I would suggest starting a return. SanDisk may get back to you, but based on past experiences, their responses tend to be slow.
You could also boot from a live Linux USB, like System Rescue, and use 'gparted' to check what it reports. Sometimes it provides different insights into drive issues.
Have you checked what the Western Digital SSD Toolbox reports for the actual capacity? It's also important to know the exact model number. Just a heads up, Sandisk likely won't be much help since they were acquired by WD. There have been cases where people received mislabeled drives, so it might be worth looking into.
Unfortunately, it’s possible you were sold the 1TB version instead of the 2TB model. If that's the case, I recommend contacting the seller to see what can be done about it.
Is it still a possibility even though it's brand new and sealed?
Where did you purchase the SSD? I've had a similar experience with a memory card on eBay that was way smaller than advertised. It's a common scam, so make sure to raise a complaint if it’s not what you paid for.
I got it from Best Buy. They helped me run a test and it showed 1800 GB.

Could you share a link to the tool you mentioned? I can’t seem to find the right software to get that report.
