Why is my new AIO cooler louder and performs worse than my old one?

I recently upgraded my PSU and cooler, switching from a UX200SE air cooler to a Frozen Notte 360 AIO. Since the upgrade, I've noticed it's significantly louder and seems to be underperforming. In fact, my temperatures are worse now than they were with my previous cooler. I'm really frustrated because I was so excited about this upgrade. What can I do to fix this?

Adding more fans and a pump will definitely make it louder since you went from one fan to four! But for it to be performing worse is odd. You might want to check if you accidentally left any protective covers or stickers on the cooling surfaces, or if the cooler isn’t seated properly on the CPU. Sometimes it just happens to be a defective unit too. It shouldn’t be outperformed by a single tower cooler, that’s for sure!

I spent hours installing it, so if it's defective, I'm going to lose it.
