Why is my new PC lagging despite having a good internet connection?

Hey everyone, I recently bought a used PC and I've noticed some serious lag when I play games. I checked my internet connection speed, and it's pretty good at 100 mb/s, which should be more than enough for something like Roblox. However, my ping is through the roof, hitting over 1000 on some regions and around 500 in Germany. It's baffling! Even downloads are super slow. Just for context, I'm using WiFi with the PC's built-in antenna. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

The fact that your PC is used and about three years old could definitely be a factor. Was Windows freshly installed when you got it? That can often cause performance issues if not done. Also, older hardware might struggle with newer games more than you'd expect.

Nope, it wasn’t reinstalled unfortunately.

It looks like the lag might be related to the age of your PC. Could you share your specs? That info might help pinpoint the issue better!

Sure! I have a GTX 960 and 64 GB of RAM, plus an Intel i8 processor (the latest model).
