I recently built my PC, and everything was running smoothly for about two days. Then, while booting up Minecraft for probably the fourth or fifth time, my power supply blew a capacitor, causing a loud pop and some smoke—which was quite a panic moment for me. I managed to get the power supply replaced, but after reassembling everything, I discovered that one of my RAM sticks isn't functioning. Now, I'm left with just one RAM stick and I'm wondering if I can get the faulty one replaced. If it's not possible, should I consider getting an additional RAM stick instead? My power supply was a Corsair RM850x, and I'm using Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x16GB RAM sticks. A friend helped me set everything up, so I'm fairly certain it was done correctly.

You should definitely be able to warranty that RAM stick with Corsair. Just keep a record of everything in case they give you any issues during the process.
Yes, power supply malfunctions like that can definitely damage RAM due to voltage spikes. I feel for you! You can easily RMA the RAM, as Corsair Vengeance DDR4 comes with a lifetime warranty. Just submit a ticket on their support page with your receipt, and they’ll sort you out quickly. Also, make sure to check the other RAM stick by switching the slots and ensure all connections on the new PSU are secure. No need to buy new RAM since your warranty should cover it!
If your RAM sticks are still under warranty, I’d recommend sending the faulty one in without hesitation. Typically, if you bought a 2x16GB kit, they might ask for both sticks back, but you can always reach out to their customer support. They might let you keep one until the replacement arrives—fingers crossed!
Oh no, looks like I'll have to put Minecraft on hold for another week... lol.

Thanks for the heads-up! The Corsair site was a bit confusing, and I wanted to double-check before moving forward.
