I'm trying to upgrade my graphics card from an MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super to a new MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, but I keep running into issues with no signal on my monitors. After installing the new card, both my Asus VZ229HE monitor and Huion drawing tablet only stay on for about a minute before they lose the signal, and I can't even access the BIOS during that time. The old card works perfectly fine when connected, so I'm pretty sure the new one is causing the problem.
Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core
- Motherboard: MSI B450I GAMING PLUS AC Mini ITX
- Old GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6 GB
- New GPU: MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB (just bought)
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4
- PSU: Cooler Master MWE GOLD 750 V2 80+ Gold
I've updated my BIOS and drivers, and my PSU is new and working. The monitors are connected via HDMI, with the Huion tablet using an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter. When I put in the new GPU, the fans spin and everything starts fine, but it drops to no signal shortly after. I'm thinking of changing the PCI-E settings in the BIOS, but I'm open to other suggestions. I suspect it might be a driver issue because after a clean install, the NVIDIA app and drivers make it lose signal immediately after installation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! A lot of folks with the 50 series are facing similar issues. Since the card is new, falling back on old drivers probably won't help much. Have you tried using just one monitor? Sometimes simplifying the setup can help isolate the issue. Let me know if you still get the black screen with just one display!
I see you’re using an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter. It’s important to check if your adapter is active or passive. Passive adapters can cause problems, especially before drivers load, so switching to an active adapter might solve your issue! How is that setup working for you at the moment?
One of the connections is HDMI to DisplayPort. Not sure if it’s active, but the other is just a regular HDMI. Even when I tried connecting just one at a time, it still cut to no signal.
Yeah, I’ve had only the regular HDMI monitor connected, and it still goes to no signal after the Windows login. I thought the same brand would work seamlessly, but this has been a headache.
