I recently swapped my old hard drive for a new SSD, and I think I followed all the right steps to set it up for Windows boot. However, I'm now facing an issue where my PC isn't detecting the SSD at all, and it was working fine a week ago! Should I try plugging the old HDD back in or is there some rewiring I can do? I can provide a screenshot of the error I'm encountering at startup if needed.

Just an update: I plugged the hard drive back in, and it booted up. Then, I switched the SATA connection for the SSD to a different port, and it worked! I’m not sure if the original port is faulty, but for now, it’s running okay. Thanks for the help!
Is your new SSD a SATA drive? It’s also worth checking if the SSD shows up in the BIOS under 'system information'. That could give us clues about what might be going wrong.
First things first, you should check the boot mode in your BIOS. Make sure it's set to UEFI, as that's usually required for SSDs. Let me know if you need guidance on finding that option!
