Why is my paper flagged as AI when other detectors show it’s not?

I've been scanning my papers with AI detectors just to make sure they don't get flagged. Recently, I used several detectors, including Justdone, Grammarly, GPTZero, and Undetectable AI. However, I'm puzzled because DetectableAI is marking a large portion of my paper as AI, while the others are showing 0% AI. Has anyone else experienced this issue? How accurate is DetectableAI compared to others?

AI detectors are not foolproof at all. They analyze patterns in word clusters and compare them with known AI samples. If your writing shares some similarities with AI patterns, it might get flagged for no good reason. I recommend mixing up your writing style a bit or checking with a few different detectors for a second opinion.

Good point about mixing styles! It definitely helps.

I agree! I use multiple detectors just to be safe, especially since some are more reliable than others.

Honestly, a lot of AI detectors aren’t very reliable. Each one uses different methods to analyze text. I've found that Grammarly can be fooled but does a good job at spotting more obvious AI writing. Just remember, the detectors weren't designed for precision; they just do probability analysis based on existing samples. So don't stress too much if only one detector is flagging your work.

Yeah, sometimes I think they just don't handle mixed styles well. It's tricky.

Exactly! I’ve had my human-written essays get flagged, too. It’s frustrating.

DetectableAI was super unreliable for me too! I had a paper flagged at 70% AI, but other detectors like Grammarly and GPTZero showed it was fine at 0%. Sometimes it just flags random paragraphs or chunks, which makes no sense. I stopped worrying so much about it, especially since teachers rarely question it. Are you submitting for grades or just checking for reassurance?

Just for peace of mind! I've noticed inconsistencies too.

I submit through Turnitin, but I like to get a heads-up first.
