I've been getting a slight electric shock whenever I touch my PC's metal casing. I'm a bit worried about this! Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? Also, what steps can I take to fix it? Any advice would be appreciated!

First off, make sure your PC is plugged into a grounded outlet. If you're using a standard power supply, it should expect to be grounded. If the outlet isn't earthed, that might be the culprit. It's also a good idea to check for ground faults; you might need an electrician to take a look if that's the case.

Double-check that your setup is correct! Make sure the PC is unplugged when you inspect it. Ensure that both the socket and the cable are properly grounded. Also, confirm that nothing inside is making contact with the case, such as the motherboard or PSU. If everything is grounded but you still have issues, consider replacing the PSU as a precaution.

Are you sure it's not just you? Sometimes static can build up, or it could be something related to how you're grounding yourself.

Just to add, make sure you're plugged into a 3-prong outlet. That third prong is for grounding. If you're dealing with a 2-prong outlet, it wouldn't be safe for your PC. But if you've got to replace your PSU, that might be worth considering!
