Why is my PC connecting to the router but not the internet?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my computer where it connects to my router without any problems, but it fails to establish an internet connection. Meanwhile, everyone else in my household is online, and someone was even live streaming while my PC shows that there's no connection. I followed all the troubleshooting steps from a Microsoft guide, but nothing seems to work. I'm really stumped and would appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this!

Another thing to check is your network configuration. Open the command prompt again and type "ipconfig /all". This will show your network settings and could reveal if there's an IP address conflict or if there's no IP being assigned at all.

I ran that command, but I honestly don’t know what I’m looking at in the results.

Try opening the command prompt on your computer and run these commands: first, type "ping google.com" and see if it connects. Then, type "ping 8.8.8.8". This will give you a sense of whether your issue is with the DNS or something else. Let me know what the results are!

I ran the commands, and it said: "Ping request could not find host google.com." For 8.8.8.8, it said "Sent=4, Received=0, Lost=4 (100% loss)."

It’s possible that your router is blocking your connection for some reason. Sometimes settings can be adjusted—either on purpose or by accident. Double-check if someone perhaps changed a setting.

It was working fine a few days ago. I checked with everyone, and no one changed anything.
