I'm experiencing a major issue with my gaming setup. Lately, every game I play is lagging significantly. This problem didn't exist before, and I'm at a loss as to why it's happening now. After about 5 minutes of gameplay, my frames per second (fps) will drop drastically to around 5fps, then jump back up to about 120fps every 10 seconds, creating this frustrating cycle. I've even upgraded my RAM to 16GB hoping it would help, but it hasn't changed anything. Can anyone offer advice on how to fix this issue?

Can you share your PC specs? That might help in diagnosing the problem better!
It sounds like your system is overheating, which could be causing those fps drops. I'd recommend checking your CPU temperatures, but keep an eye on your GPU temps too, as they can often be the culprit.
I checked my GPU temperature, and it hit 82°C when the lag started. Is that too high?

Sure! I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4GB), 11th Gen Intel i5-11320H, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, and I'm running Windows 11.
