Hey everyone! I've been having an issue while gaming on my PC where my frames drop drastically, sometimes down to just 1 FPS for about 4 to 5 seconds. After that, it spikes back up to 200 FPS. I took a look at my CPU and its socket, and everything seems normal. My setup includes an old GTX 1660 Ti, which has worked perfectly since I bought it brand new in 2018. Here's the full rundown of my specs:
- Motherboard: B550 MSI
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
- RAM: 16GB Corsair DDR4
- PSU: GL1000 Gold
- AIO Cooler: Corsair 240
Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing these sudden drops?

Have you checked if you're using an SSD or HDD for your games? Sometimes the storage can affect loading times and performance. If you're using an SSD, that should help, but if it’s an HDD, it might be worth upgrading. Just a thought!
I actually just upgraded to two 1TB SSDs, and it made a world of difference in loading times for my games!
