I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my PC when I'm playing certain games like Total War: Three Kingdoms. After a turn or specific actions in-game, I often get a black screen. The computer itself is still operating since I can hear sound and I can use the Windows+X U, U shortcut to shut it down. Afterward, I notice that my graphics card drivers are messed up and I need to reinstall them. Here are my PC specs: OS: Windows 11 Home, Motherboard: MEG X570 ACE, CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12 Core, GPU: Sapphire Nitro+RX 5700 XT, RAM: 32GB.

It sounds like you might be dealing with driver issues or a power supply problem. Try performing a clean driver installation using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in Safe Mode. Also, check the wattage of your power supply and the GPU power connections to ensure they're secure. You want to rule those out!

I haven't tried DDU yet, but I did a clean install with the AMD Cleanup Utility. I'll definitely give DDU a shot! I'm a bit unsure on how to check the GPU power connections though, especially since everything seems to be okay during stress tests.

First off, check if your BIOS is updated to the latest version and make sure your motherboard and graphics card drivers are also up to date. You should look for any optional updates in the Windows Update section as well—those can be important!

I haven't updated the BIOS yet—I need to look up how to do that. Without a USB drive right now, I'm not sure if I can? But I've updated the other drivers, yes.
