Why is my PC not performing well in modern games?

I'm experiencing performance issues with my PC setup. I have a B550 motherboard, Ryzen 7 5700X3D processor, and a Radeon 7900 GPU, but when I play titles like Hogwarts Legacy, I'm only getting around 30 FPS on ultra settings, and Ghost of Tsushima is even worse at about 25 FPS. I've tried updating my drivers using the Adrenaline software, but it didn't help. Any tips or advice on improving performance? Also, just to clarify, my monitor is connected to the GPU, not the motherboard.

What resolution are you running at? And is your screen refresh rate set correctly? If the frames are low consistently when moving and there are no stutters, it sounds like your GPU utilization is quite low. I’d suggest sharing more details about your setup so we can help better!

It's a 27-inch, 120 Hz monitor. The FPS is consistently low, and the GPU usage is around 14%, with CPU usage at about 10%. Both temps are below 50°C. What should I check next?

You might want to try uninstalling the Adrenaline software. I've had issues with it before, and removing it fixed my performance problems. It doesn't take much time, so it's worth a shot!

Yeah, I've uninstalled it before and it helped in other cases, so I might give that another go.

Are you sure your monitor is plugged into the GPU? It's a common mistake for people to accidentally plug it into the motherboard instead. I have a similar setup and I'm not facing any issues in those games, so double-check that connection!

Yep, it's definitely plugged into the GPU.
