I've been dealing with random freezes on my PC where it drops to like 10fps for a couple of minutes before returning to normal. I've been keeping an eye on the task manager and MSI Afterburner to check CPU usage and temperatures. It looks like 'system' and 'system interrupts' are constantly high, never below 20%, while the rest of the programs fluctuate. At one point, my CPU usage was hitting close to 100%. I've noticed some temperature spikes while gaming, reaching up to 90°C at times, but mostly it's around 70°C. I've updated both my GPU and motherboard drivers, but it hasn't made a difference. I'm not sure if this is a CPU issue, malware, or something else altogether. Here are my specs: Motherboard is a Gigabyte B650 AX V2, CPU is Ryzen 7 7700X, I've got Thermalright AIO cooling, an RTX 5070 GPU, and a high-quality 850W power supply.

You should definitely check the Event Viewer. Just type 'Event Viewer' in the start menu, then go to Windows Logs > System. Look for any critical or warning events around the times your PC froze. This could give you a clue about what's causing your issues.
High CPU usage can definitely be tricky. If you're seeing the warning about 'Local Activation permission' in the Event Viewer, that might indicate a permission issue with a specific application. You might want to look into that and see if something's misconfigured.
It might help to run an offline malware scan with Windows Defender and also do an MRT scan. Sometimes malware can hijack system processes and cause these kinds of problems.
